Electrical safety checks (EICRs)
Independent inspection of your home or rental's wiring, with a clear report and fixed-price remedials if anything needs sorting.
Every five years (or at change of tenancy for landlords), the wiring in your property needs a proper sit-down look from a qualified electrician. That's an EICR — an Electrical Installation Condition Report.
We test every circuit at the consumer unit, check every accessible socket and light, and inspect the consumer unit itself. You get a written report with a clear pass or fail, plus a quote for any remedials needed to bring things up to current regs.
Most homes take two to three hours. Rentals get the report turned around within 24 hours so you've got it in hand for your tenancy paperwork.

- Visual inspection of the consumer unit
- Live testing of every final circuit
- Insulation resistance and earth fault loop testing

Frequently asked
How often do I need an EICR?
Homeowners — we recommend every 10 years. Landlords in England — every 5 years and at every change of tenancy is now the law.
What if my property fails?
We'll give you a clear, fixed-price quote for the remedials. Once they're done we issue an updated certificate at no extra charge.
Will you need to turn the power off?
Yes, for short periods, on a circuit-by-circuit basis. We'll plan around the freezer and Wi-Fi router so the disruption is minimal.
