Needed an EICR done at short notice for a new tenancy and Mike turned it round in two days, including the bits of remedial work that came up. Sent over the updated certificate the same evening. No fuss, fair price, would call him again.
Same-day EICR for a Hoole landlord
James needed an EICR before his new tenants moved in on Monday. We got him a passed certificate by Friday tea time.
James called us on a Wednesday morning. His new tenants were due to move into a two-bed terrace in Hoole the following Monday, and his agent had reminded him (slightly late) that the existing EICR had expired.
We got there Thursday at 8am. The wiring was generally sound — a 2014 consumer unit, modern cable throughout, no obvious dodgy bits — but two circuits were missing RCD protection on the kitchen ring, and the bathroom shower pull-cord was damaged. Both came up as **C2** on the report.
We agreed remedials there and then: replace the relevant MCBs with RCBOs, swap the shower pull-cord, add a label to the new consumer unit identifying every circuit. All done by Friday lunchtime.
Updated certificate emailed by 5pm Friday. Tenants moved in Monday as planned.
