Small accountancy firm moving into a new unit. New ring main, 24 desk sockets, and a managed CAT6 run alongside, all done over a weekend.
A small accountancy firm in Tarvin was moving from a Chester office into a ground-floor unit on Tarvin Business Park. The unit had a basic 13A ring main but nothing dedicated for the 12 desks they'd planned out.
We installed a new dedicated ring on a 32A RCBO at the existing consumer unit, ran it cleanly through dado trunking around the perimeter, and dropped a twin socket at each desk position (24 sockets total). The cable was 4mm singles in the dado, stepping down to 2.5mm at each spur — generous for the load but it gives them headroom if they add anything later.
We also ran 12 CAT6 drops in the same trunking back to a central comms cabinet, patched and tested. We're not a data installer but for a small office it's straightforward and saves them a separate trade.
Saturday plus half of Sunday on site. They moved in Monday morning. No downtime, no surprises, full commercial certificate issued.
