Annual service plan

Yearly visit. F-Gas leak check, filter clean, performance check, paperwork updated. Keeps the warranty valid.

Per year, single-split£140

Every system we fit needs an annual service to keep its manufacturer warranty valid. The regulator separately requires an F-Gas leak check on systems with refrigerant charge above a threshold (3kg of standard refrigerants, or roughly 5kW+ of cooling capacity).

The annual service plan covers both. Once a year — usually the same calendar month each year so it's easy to remember — we visit, run a fifteen-point check on the system, replace the filters, log a leak check against the F-Gas register, and update the paperwork.

We do it for systems we installed and for systems other engineers installed before we got to you. If we find a system was sized wrong or commissioned poorly, we'll tell you, and we'll quote separately for any remediation — we won't lump it onto the service charge.

The £140 figure is for a single-split with up to one outdoor unit. Multi-splits are £180. Cassette and commercial systems are quoted on a per-site basis depending on the F-Gas charge and the access requirements.

What's included

Every install we do, this is in.

The line items below are non-negotiable on every job. Anything beyond — relocation of an outdoor unit, building works, listed-building consent — is quoted separately and clearly.

  • Pre-arranged annual visit, same month each year
  • Fifteen-point performance check (compressor, fan, refrigerant pressures, drainage, electrics)
  • Filter replacement on all indoor units
  • F-Gas leak check where required, logged to the register
  • Manufacturer warranty kept valid
  • Service report sent by email after the visit
Common questions

Things people ask before booking.

Do I have to have a service to keep the warranty?

Yes. Every manufacturer's extended warranty (Daikin's 5-7 year, Mitsubishi's 5-year, Toshiba's 5-year) requires evidence of an annual service by a qualified engineer. Skipping a year invalidates the warranty.

What if the system breaks down between services?

Service-plan customers go to the front of the queue for breakdown calls, with no callout charge — just the time and parts to fix the issue. Most years that means we don't see you between services. Some years it means we're there in 24 hours.

Can you service a system another firm installed?

Yes. We'll do a first-visit assessment (£95) before signing you up to a plan — it sets a baseline and flushes out anything the previous engineer left undone.
