What’s included in a service

Every service is carried out to the boiler manufacturer’s specification by a Gas Safe registered engineer. We don’t cut corners and we don’t oversell — if your boiler’s healthy we’ll tell you.

  • Visual inspection of the boiler, flue, and surrounding pipework
  • Check operating pressures, flow and return temperatures
  • Combustion analysis to confirm safe and efficient burn
  • Strip and clean burner, heat exchanger, condensate trap
  • Test all safety devices, controls, and ignition
  • Test gas tightness and check ventilation
  • Written service record and any recommendations

How it works

Book it in

Call, message, or use the form. We’ll confirm a slot — usually within 5 working days.

We arrive

Two-hour window, text 30 min before. Shoes off, dust sheets down, no mess.

Service done

60–90 minutes for most boilers. We’ll talk you through anything we find.

Paperwork

Service record left with you and emailed. Pay by card on the day or BACS within 7 days.

Common questions

How often should I service my boiler?
Annually. Most manufacturer warranties require yearly servicing to remain valid, and an unserviced boiler is the most common cause of mid-winter breakdowns. We’ll send you a reminder when yours is due.
Do you service all makes and models?
Yes — Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Baxi, Ideal, Glow-worm, Viessmann, Potterton, and pretty much anything else gas. We’re Worcester Bosch accredited so we get parts fast for those.
What if you find a problem during the service?
We’ll show you what’s wrong, explain the options, and quote you for the fix before doing anything. No pressure to use us — sometimes the right answer is “leave it for now and watch it”.
Is £85 the all-in price?
Yes for a standard combi or system boiler in the local area. Larger commercial boilers, holiday lets out of area, or boilers needing extra parts are quoted upfront before we start. No surprises.
Do you offer a service plan?
Yes — £12/month covers your annual service, priority callouts, and 10% off any repairs. Worth it if you’d rather not think about it. Ask Pete for the details.
